January 2010 has just zoomed pass...

Tomorrow is Feb liao...

everytime i pause and think about how fast time passes...my mind can't help but go back to this article i read a while ago about priorities in life and the allocation of time to the different tasks...

most people, except some workaholics, would say that their priority in life is family....strangely enough....the amount of time spent at home 'conscious and not asleep' is so little compared to time spent in the office.

Another point it mentioned was the amount of effort given to each priority. This point really hits the nail in the head for me!

Assuming that each person has a fixed amount of effort for each day ~ 100% and if the person put in 100% at work, what is left for family? Yes, your maths is quite good ~ 0% and strangely again, this person's priority might be the family....

Therefore, starting from now, you might want to think about putting in possibly ~70% of your effort at work and thus have energy after you get home to really engage in what is really more important and fulfilling to you in your life! =)

In tune with nature..

Just watched Avatar the 2nd time... in 3D since it's supposed to be very good...

but honestly i preferred the 2D version...cuz u dun need to wear the damn specs (which cost $85 if you break it...*roll eyes*). so uncomfy. and 3D makes people slightly giddy... and the difference, at least to me and my companion, was negligible...

however, the show has proven itself... although it's the 2nd time i'm watching it, i was still very captivated. the 160+ mins still passed very quickly. that I believe is the magic of a good plot.

in fact, i felt more touched by the theme the 2nd time round, perhaps because the 1st time i was too impressed by the graphics and effects to really experience the story.

i find it alittle difficult to put my tots and feelings into words here....

during the show....the times where the people connected with nature...i felt touched. i wished i hv the opportunity to experience that too... it sounds really wonderful to be so in tune with mother earth...if only...there really is such a place on earth where there is no pollution and destruction...and people can really connect to nature on its terms in the most primitive ways...
