Birthday Woes...
Birthday Celebrations...
I like birthdays. and i like celebrating.
But I also think that it has to be sincere and that you really want to do it. not out of obligation.
when it's obligated celebration, then the enthusiasm is faked...i would also have to fake happiness and fake appreciation...
isn't that too much work?
Isn't life already hard enough without having to pretend so much?
Birthday should be a truly happy occasion where people are genuine and present (in the moment) to celebrate with you, be joyful. It doesn't have to be a big fanfare or have a birthday song or even be FOR the occasion. Just a nice get-together to chit chat is fine.
Be real. Time is precious. Don't do things you don't really want to do.
