First day of Conference..
Long day for me today... Finally after months of torturous preparation for the conference... today is the first day!
Thanks to the help from my ever-so-supportive colleagues, there were many problems handling the delegates and invited guests for the conference. Not too many of them but if there was ME and ONLY ME...I would die... :(
Even though the registrations and organisation of the event went by smoothly...there were several mishaps which made the day rather busy...
First, there was this guy who lost his wallet after alighting from the cab he came in..apparently he dropped it in his cab! :( We had a long morning trying to get the cab company to find that driver, in the hope of finding the wallet... BUT somehow the cab company couldn't get the driver for the whole morning, not on the mobile nor the communication thingy they hv in the cab. It was only at noon that we felt some inkling of wat might have happened..Apparently someone found the wallet and called up our company and was going to return the wallet. Except the money was gone! That's more than SGD1K!!! At that time, we still couldn't get the driver though... However, the story became more complicated after we finally got the driver on the phone...and found that the story might not be that simple... There was a twist and somehow someone doesn't seem to be telling the whole truth... haha... SOUNDS so much like a drama on tv... *roll eyes* but it's all true story... anyway... the story end where the wallet was returned at around 7pm and the 'detective' is still on the lookout for any clues who might have taken the money though... Will add on if there are any updates tomorrow! =þ
The other mishap paled in comparison...it's juz abt a bratty young adult losing a camera but found it somewhere else within the vicinity... Well...not sure who might have left it there but well.. we dun really wanna know cuz the story above is so MUCH more juicy anyway... haha..
That's it for today... Hope everything's good for the rest of the week! After that, I'm taking at least 2 days off!! Badly need a break!!
