Four Star Boutique hotel in Phuket
My hotel in Phuket..Burasari Resort...was up to my expectations. it's a 4* boutique hotel, near the beach but apparently damage caused by the killer waves were minimal and they were back in operations in Feb. They were lucky. the hotel rite next to them, was in the process of being demolished, guess the owner probably felt tt it's more worthy to rebuild than to repair the damages...
I had asked for a high floor room cuz IF the waves struck again... probably somewhr higher will be safer? tt was wat i tot..but perhaps not so smart... haha... i was at the 4th floor...well...it's not too bad, considering tt it's a pool view room and the pool is nice with waterfalls, so the sound of water can be heard the whole day...quite relaxing... Juz one problem...the lift is under maintenance...i assumed the lift system was damaged by the waves when the whole lobby was flooded...and water prob went into the lift cavity...well....so we had to climb the stairs wif our luggages on the first day...and whenever we came back fr outside, no matter how tired we were... 8 flights of stairs lie between us and our cosy rooms...! :(
The rooms r nice though...it's a bargain at US$39 per room nite. i wld say the rooms r big, and the beds r gigantic! :þ it's bigger than a queen sized cuz it looks like 2 super single joined together. And the bathroom is nice enuff, wif a window tt opens to the room...KINKY! :þ haha...it's a pity i was wif a girl, rather than my sweetheart huh? hahaha...Niqin, no offence! the room juz give me a nice feeling...u can refer to the link below to look at the hotel's website. It's relatively new, so the pics actually shows the real thing. unlike some hotels which have been ard for awhile...sometimes the condition of the rooms have deteriorated...
Service from the staff was ok, nothing much to complain abt. Breakfast was quite nice. Lunch wasn't as good though, so if u gg to this hotel, u shld venture out for other meals...restaurants r easily available juz outside the hotel....at most 5 mins' walk in both directions.
One thing i wasn't so happy abt was...the fact tt i was charged for taking the laundry bag. It's not tt i am cheapskate or wat. I sort of am used to taking the laungry bag for bringing my dirty clothes home. Never have I been charged for any of them before. And i tot it was funny. It's juz a laundry bag but they had to charge it. And it wasn't cheap too. 200 Baht...haha...i'm going to bring it along the next time i go overseas man! juz in case another hotel charges me for taking their landry bag again.... :þ
Guess tt's it for the hotel. Is a hotel which I would recommend for the nice rooms and breakfast.
And the truth abt the place is....there is no ghost...i was there... alrite. no ghost... so those of u who wanna take advantage of the low air travel fares and cheap accomm, do it now. But maybe dun go Patong area. Go Kata. Refer to previous blog.. If u MUST go Patong, the above hotel is nice and they r having some promotions for apr-oct... :)
