now that it's over...

alrite...had my first major jap exams last Sunday.. at a v v ULU place...Changi..and near industrial area somemore... only got 2 ulu buses... but i took cab both ways in the end...so doesn't bother me.

Was supposed to meet a fren who was going to give me a ride, actually his bro-in-law was supposed to give us and the sister, his wife, a ride to the exams venue... but turn out, VERY FUNNY, the sister was supposed to take the exams at another venue.. both the siblings knew their own venue AND assumed that the other was at the same place... "A lesson to be REMEMBERED! Never Ever Assume!!!" *nudges DW*

Anywayz, they found out tt they were going to different plcs like 1 hr before the exams time! haha..plans were immediately changed and in the end, we had to book a cab to take us to the venue. *sidenote: the cab booking ctr actually knew whr we were gg! haha...he said tt EVERYONE was gg thr!! I was so amazed!* he was totally apologetic and panicky at the same time, which was quite a funny sight... but i tink he's a real sweet guy, i was having a flu and i asked him to help em get tissues..and he did...i tink tt's real sweet...So we got thr in time, quite early still... and cuz we were taking diff lvls, went to our respective classrooms...and waited for the exams to start.

there were 3 parts to the exams: vocab, listening and grammar/comprehension. those to do wif writing, i'm quite ok...but listening is BIG BIG headache! haha... the vocab section went by rather smoothly, i dun tink i got ALL the answers but prob can pass. *20mins break* And comes my nitemare: listening section. i had never heard the JLPT exams tape before, so seriously i dinno wat to expect. haha..but one thing for sure, as i hv had 2 internal exams before, the ppl toking on the tape always tok real fast and half the time, thr wld be millions od question marks forming above my head! haha...like cartoon/ stephen chow's shows... haha...AND as expected...the ppl on the tape e-e-ya-ya alot and though i catch some words..most of the time, i dun..so i was testing my luck during this part of the exams! and worse part was, the tape was only played ONCE...how bad can it get...haha... *20mins break* the last section was alrite oso...still dunno all the answers, but cfm can pass.

i wld need an overall 60% to pass, so hopefully my vocab and grammar sections can help to pull up the %! :þ

When the exams was over, i tot my nitemare has ended...in fact it had juz began! there were at least 1.5k ppl thr taking the exams...and everyone was rushing to get home asap! there was only 2 bus services tt ply tt area, 2 and 37. Of which, i only know tt bus 2 goes to tanah merah mrt cuz the exams organiser told us tt! i am totally lost in east side...and esp since it was ULU brid-oso-dun-lay-eggs Changi, i'm totally completely entirely utterly lost! and even though i was among the first batch of ppl who came out of the venue, i cldn't fit onto the first double-decked bus tt came along...and as more ppl filtered out of the venue...i lost hope...by then, the 1 lane 2-way road outside the skool was totally jammed as well! i decided to call cab for the 2nd time in a single day... i'm not the kind who normally need to call a cab. haha...those who know me and took cab wif me fr my house before will know. at my house, if i dun see an empty cab coming my way when i reach the roadside, i wld oredi complain tt the wait for a cab is SO long tt day! the fact is, there is abundance of them in my area...i'm juz totally spoilt in this aspect! :)

So i got to expo real fast, leaving the mad crowd...luckily changi and expo isn't tt far apart... and i started my christmas shopping at john little sale, bought presents for all the little rascals at home... was dead tired when i got home...and was thankful i was finally home...

so tt was the part abt the exams...

past few days were uneventful....oh oh..not really... i had a gathering wif my pri skool clasmates on tue nite. was v enjoyable...we had this fren who hvn't joined us for 11 yrs, join us again! it was amazing! haha...and she was great...sharing wif us things tt had happened in the years before oso...i was glad we still cld tok so much even after such a long time! we oredi made a verbal promise to meet up again soon and not a yr later...but maybe juz the girls.. :) guys can hinder more intimate topics...haha...

shall tok more abt this fren tml or smtg.... now my neck hurts and i reckon it's cuz i hvn't had enuff rest for quite long....been torturing myself, staying up late into the nite...deprieving myself of previous beauty sleep...i look all old and haggard..... :'(
